Detailed Itinerary
Fez – Meknès – Volubilis
A full-day excursion combining history, heritage, and culture, visiting three key sites in northern Morocco: the imperial city of Meknes, the holy town of Moulay Idriss, and the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis.
In the morning, we will depart from Fez for Meknes, one of Morocco’s four imperial cities. Accompanied by a local guide, we will explore its main monuments and landmarks, starting with the impressive Bab Mansour, one of Morocco’s most iconic gates.
We will continue to El Hedim Square—the heart of the city—and tour some of the medina’s most characteristic areas, discovering the history of Meknes and its significance during the Sultan’s reign.
Moulay Idriss
Finally, we will arrive at Volubilis, one of Morocco’s most important Roman archaeological sites. There, we will take a guided tour of the site, exploring its ancient streets, columns, buildings, and magnificent mosaics, which offer a glimpse into what life was like in this city nearly two thousand years ago.
At the end of the visit, we will head back to Fez, concluding this comprehensive day of discovery.
