Join us on an unforgettable 5-day journey from Fez to Marrakech through the heart of Morocco. Discover the rich heritage of ancient cities, cross the spectacular Atlas Mountains, explore dramatic valleys and palm-filled landscapes, and experience the magic of the Sahara Desert and Erg Chebbi. Along the way, immerse yourself in the traditions, landscapes, and hospitality that make Morocco truly unique.
This carefully designed group tour combines culture, adventure, and breathtaking scenery, offering you an authentic Moroccan experience from Fez all the way to Marrakech.

Day 1 (March 25): Marrakech – High Atlas – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Kasbah Amridil – Dades

We will pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakech at 9:00 AM to begin the journey.

It will be a day spent discovering the Morocco of old. We will cross the High Atlas Mountains, passing over a mountain pass at an altitude of 2,260 meters. This route leads directly to the fortified village and famous Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou—the most beautiful along the “Route of a Thousand Kasbahs.” This site was once a trading post for caravans arriving from across the globe via camel treks through the Sahara Desert, and it has served as a filming location for movies such as *Gladiator*, *Asterix & Obelix*, and *Sahara*, among others. Afterward, we will continue to the Kasbah Amridil in Skoura, a remarkably well-preserved kasbah.

Day 2 (March 26): Dades – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga

Breakfast. Our first stop is one of the South’s highlights: the Todra Gorges. The Todra River has carved out a stunning gorge featuring sheer, towering cliffs—a climber’s paradise and a truly unique location. We will have lunch there at our leisure. Afterward, we pass through Erfoud to visit quarries containing fossils over 380 million years old and see how they are processed into various objects. Following the visit, we will travel off-road to reach the vast dunes of Merzouga and Erg Chebbi, where you can enjoy the remainder of the day in the desert.

Day 3 (March 27): Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Khamlia – Merzouga

After breakfast, we will set off in a 4×4 vehicle along one of the tracks used in the Paris-Dakar Rally. We will visit desert nomads to share some tea and see the oasis where movies such as *Sahara*—starring Penélope Cruz—were filmed. We will also visit the village of Khamlia, known as the “Village of the Black People” due to the historic slave trade that brought people there from Sudan. In the afternoon, dromedaries will take us to watch the sunset over the dunes. To cap off the day, we will enjoy another wonderful experience: a Berber dinner accompanied by music and a view of the starry sky unlike anything you have ever seen.

Day 4 (March 28): Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – The Draa Valley – Kasbah Taourirt – Ouarzazate

After breakfast, we visit Rissani, a unique market where nomads come to trade their goods. We then continue to Ouarzazate—known as the “Cannes of Morocco” and the “Gateway to the Desert.” Its name derives from a Berber phrase meaning “without noise” or “without confusion.” You will visit the Taourirt Kasbah on your own; once the residence of the Pasha of Marrakech, this adobe structure features crenellated towers. You can explore the former quarters of the Glaoui, the dining room, and the chambers that still retain their original painted stucco décor and cedar wood ceilings. Afterward, we will take you to your accommodation.

Day 5 (March 29): OUARZAZATE – HIGH ATLAS – MARRAKECH:

After breakfast, we returned to Marrakech, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260m altitude). We dropped them off at the meeting point.

The desert trip is not suitable for pregnant & wheelchair users
Please note the road can be blocked during the winter due to the snowfall or heavy rains, as a result, taking another route through Agadir is the main alternative. We highly recommend not to book the desert trip if your flight is scheduled for the next day.
Please note we will drop you off in your hotel but if it happens you are staying in a Riad within the walls of the Medina that is inaccessible to the car, we will liaise with your Riad staff members to escort you so that you can avoid the hassle.
