Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Tangier - Chefchaouen

Meet & greet upon arrival in the port of Tangier, in the Ibn Battuta Airport, or pick up from your accommodation in Tangier. Drive through the spectacular Rif Mountains before arriving in Chefchaouen.

Spend most of the day exploring what the this blue city of Chefchaouen has to offer including the Kasbah, the Utta el Hammam Square, the blue painted streets, the Ras el Ma Spring, and much more.

Day 2: Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes - Fes

After breakfast, we will drive south through the Rif Mountains passing by the Roman Ruins where you will have an interesting tour around this archaelogical site with a local guide. Continue on the track to the city of Meknes that dates back to the 17th century.

Begin your tour of Meknes from the impressive Bab (Gate) Mansour, then stretch your legs in the El-Hedim Square before visiting the Moulay Ismail (the founder of the city) mausoleum. Visit the granaries and stables where the Sultan used to look after his 12000 horses. Later, we will drive to Fes where we will spend our second night.

Day 3: Full-Day Exploring Fes

After breakfast, we will spend the day exploring Fes, which is the oldest imperial city of Morocco, with a local tour guide. Explore the Mellah (former Jewish Quarter), the Fes el-Bali (oldest Fes), which is the largest car-free district in the world.

Pass by Mederasas, museums, the Chouara Tanneries and meander around the intricate alleyways of the mysterious Medina of Fes along with its vibrant Souks (markets).

Day 4: Fes - Ifrane - Ziz Valley - Erfoud - Merzouga Desert

Today, we will drive further south to the Sahara desert of Erg Chebbi passing by the city of Ifrane (Little Switzerland) where we will have a short break, then cross the UNESCO-listed cedar forest that hosts a colony of “Barbary Macaques”. 

After lunch, which will take place near Midelt, we cross the spectacular Atlas Mountains and include another break in the panoramic palm Ziz Valley where we will take pictures. Arrive in the desert in the late afternoon and spend the night in a nice Riad/hotel by the feet of the majestic dune fields of Erg Chebbi.

Day 5: Explore the Desert Area & Camel Ride

After breakfast, we will devote most of the day to explore what the desert area has to offer. Learn about the local system of irrigation knows as “Khettaras”, then visit the Khamlia Village where you can have a good time watching the show of the Gnawa.

Later, we will have a complete tour around the dunes of Erg Chebbi visiting the local mines and sharing a mint tea with Berber nomads offering an opportunity to learn about their unique lifestyle.

In the late afternoon, you will go on a camel ride while enjoying the breathtaking views of the sunset before spending the night in a luxury desert camp under the stars that illuminate the horizons.

Day 6: Merzouga Desert - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley

Early wake up to attend the miraculous view of the sunrise. After breakfast, we will resume our 11 days Morocco desert tour from Tangier by driving through Erfoud, which is home for fossils and dates. Stretch your legs in the impressive Todra Gorges (Canyons) that keep attracting mountain climbers from all over the world before continuing on the track to the Dades Valley where we will spend our night.

Day 7: Dades Valley - Ouarzazate - Ait Benhaddou - Marrakech

After breakfast, we will head to Marrakech while driving through the lush Valley of Roses before getting to Ouarazazte (Hollywood of Africa). This city has turned the region into a backdrop for shooting numerous Hollywood Films including Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, Kingdom of Heaven, Prince of Persia, and many others.

Have a guided tour around the dramatic Ait Benhaddou Village. After lunch, we will drive across the High Atlas Mountains over the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260 m) before getting to Marrakech in the evening.

Day 8: Full-Day Exploring Marrakech

Today, we will have a guided tour of Marrakech with a local tour guide. Visit the botanical gardens of Majorelle that is owned by Yves Saint Laurent and was created by Jacques Majorelle who spent most of his life collecting plants from all over the world to come up with this little paradise on earth.

Learn about the history of the Kotoubia Mosque, which is the landmark of Marrakech. Visit the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace before getting into the heart of the vibrant and colorful Medina with its Souks that are organized into sections. End the tour of Marrakech in the Jemaa el-Fna Square, which is the focal point of Marrakech.

Day 9: Marrakech - Casablanca - Rabat

After breakfast, we will head to Casablanca, which is the economic capital of Morocco where we will make a visit to the dramatic Hassan II Mosque. After having a nice drive by the paved Corniche of Ain Diab, we will head to Rabat where we will make a tour around this UNESCO listed and administrative capital of Morocco.

Begin our tour by the Uddaya Kasbah that offers majestic views over the ever-flowing Bou Regreg River, Sale and the Atlantic Ocean. Visit Mohamed V Mausoleum and Hassan Tower before spending the night in a nice and comfortable hotel/Riad.

Day 10: Rabat - Asilah - Tangier

Today, we will continue on the track further north to Tangier passing by the tranquil city of Asilah, which is located by the Atlantic Ocean. Have a tour around the Kasbah and the Medina of Tangier, and visit the Hercules Caves and the promontory Cap Spartel.

Day 11: Airport/Port Transfer

Transfer to the ports of Tangier Ville or Tangier Med, or to the Ibn Battuta airport marking the end of our service and hoping you go back home with a memorable experience of Morocco.
